I thought since the couple of stress filled hectic weeks have passed and 3 of my 4 midterms are now out of the way, I believe I am long over due for a post.
Sorry for the lack of updates, thank you for all the individuals still visiting this site, and I have also gained a couple subscribers, so thanks to you too!!
No, this blog is not dead!!
I will be posting, although I cannot promise regular daily post that I had done so in the past. I will try my best to bring you more GTR awesomeness in the future!
Thanks again to my readers!!
Without you guys, this blog would have been long dead XD
The STP Taisan Gr. A R32 GTR!
The car that officially started my obsession.
For some reason, I just can’t explain it, I just love this car.
Its not the “I love this car” expression that you say when you see a exotic like a Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.
Its a totally different feeling, that you really can’t put words on it. You just stare in awe and amazement, speechless knowing that this is the car of your dreams.
Its funny cause it has nothing to do with Gr. A
Although I absolutely love Gr. A, and I will always say that it was one of the best racing series ever. And although it was dominated by the R32 GTR and basically became a one make championship near the end of its time, but come on, who could not love the amazing roar of the RB26 flying down the straights, and see the GTRs bounce around corners, two wheeling as they jump over the rumble strips
But for some reason its just this specific car that dominates the true image of the R32 GTR, or the true legend behind the GTR name in my head. Everytime I ask myself, “Why the R32 GTR?” or “Why a GTR of all cars in the world?”, I always come to think of the picture of the STP Taisan GTR that has been burned into my mind. Its not just any Gr.A GTR either, it just has to be the STP Taisan GTR, not Calsonic, not HKS, or the other iconic Gr. A GTRs that dominated the television screens during its time. I don’t really know why, maybe the black and red Advan livery it dons make is it look much more aggressive over the others? It just has this aura of Badass that I can’t explain nor I can find in any other Gr. A GTR.
Anyways live long Skyline GTR, still popular as ever, never forgotten, eternally engraved in history as one of the all time greatest.
I am proud to say that I own not just a car, not just a Skyline, but a R32 GTR, more importantly a Piece of History!
PS. This goes for all other owners in the world, either you drive a R32 GTR, a R33 GTR, or a R34 GTR. We all own a Piece of History, the Symbol of the 2nd Generation GTR!
Sorry if I sound like I am bragging As you can tell I am a little too passionate when it comes to these cars
Its February and we are closing in towards Spring. Well…still got 3+ months till we will actually see some great weather…so not so close
Anyways it looks like many owners in Japan are very busy getting some of the maintenance work done on their GTRs.
Which reminds me I have some things to do on my car as well.
Obviously first things first is an oil and filter change. I have a separated Axle boot that I should replace in the near future, replace my cracked headlight, and well that just some of the things I need to do this season for the GTR.
But apart from that I really was looking to tinker with my brake set up. I am not 100% satisfied with the performance and feel of my brakes so I was looking to do new pads, rotors, and a brake fluid flush. It really isnt priority because it does its job, I just want them to do an even better job
I have been saving for the brake upgrade but it may look like that plan will be scrapped because I am currently thinking of spending that money on another thing……something even more exciting than a simple brake upgrade
Hopefully everything works out, not spilling the beans on the actual plans yet, couple of my friends know of my plan ;P
Meanwhile I will hype myself for the up coming work I will have to be doing this spring XP
Another note: I want the TE37SL Season (aka Spring Season) back! Looking at the pictures below makes me sad that mine are sitting under tire covers for the winter
How about a nice lip kit for your R32 GTR?
I had considered a Abflug lip kit for the longest time but unfortunately being a student means very low funds for spending on the GTR
Oh and this photo just reminded me that I have yet to fix my cracked headlight.
I have a immaculate set of used headlights sitting in my room gathering dust
Should really get on that before the car sees the road again in about 3 months time
